Honey Cake
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/2 cup BeeFree Honee ( you can use Agave or Maple Syrup)
- 3/4 cup warm coffee
- 1/2 cup apple sauce
- 1/2 tbsp molasses
- 2 tsp of vanilla
- 1 tsp of almond Extract
- 1/3 cup sunflower or organic canola oil
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds for garnish
Preparation
In a large bowl mix together all of the dry ingredients
In a separate cup mix together all of the wet ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix well or until fully incorporated
Pour the batter into a round cake or loaf pan and sprinkle the top with almonds. Bake at 350 for 24 - 30 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean
