Gongura Rice

Ingredients

  • rice
  • cumin
  • mustard seeds
  • peanuts
  • chana dal
  • red chillies
  • green chillies
  • gongura

Preparation

  1. Step 1:- Finely chop Sorrel leafs/gongura and set aside

  2. Step 2:- Boil the rice and set aside

  3. Step 3:- Heat a kadai or skillet and add on some oil n splutter cumin n mustard seeds, later add on some fits full of peanuts , 1 tbs of chana dal,1 tbs of urad dal and few red chillies and saute for couple of mins and later add green chillies

  4. Step 4:- Add chopped and washed gongura, cook until all water evaporates

  5. Step 5:- Add on some turmeric powder and cook for 5-6 mins and nice aroma starts coming out

  6. Step 6:- Add boiled rice and salt mix well until everything is coated well that's all simple and quick Gongura rice is ready
