Traditional Taiwanese Boba Tea

Ingredients

  • - 1/2C (90g) tapioca pearls
  • - 1tbsp sugar
  • - 1-2tsp matcha powder mixed in a bit of hot water
  • - 600ml @plamilfoods Soya Milk

Preparation

  1. To cook the tapioca bring a pan of water to the boil & simmer for 2-3 minutes, turn off the heat and leave to cook for a further 3 minutes before plunging into cold water for 30 seconds (the longer you do this the chewier they will be)

  2. Next drain and mix in a bowl with sugar and leave for 5 minutes whilst whisking the matcha powder in water

  3. Separate tapioca between two glasses, pour over your milk & pour the matcha on top
