Warm Bowl of Oats

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon
  • ?Maple
  • ?Stewed apples
  • ?Nutmeg and ginger spices
  • ?Last of the blackberries

Preparation

  1. G jumbo oats, soak in boiling water, enough to cover the oats by a cm, whilst you prepare the apple

  2. Chop 1 apple, add to a saucepan with a dash of water & cinnamon

  3. Cover and stew for 20 mins, stir once or twice to ensure there’s enough water

  4. Optional dash of maple

  5. Once the apple is done, leave covered, and add 1/2 cup creamy plant mylk of your choice to the oats (I used pea @mightypeauk )

  6. Warms gently, whilst adding 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, pinch of ginger, nutmeg, turmeric (you can’t taste but gives it a lovely colour), sea salt and a handful of raisins to plump up

  7. Stir lots, meanwhile warm a bit of mylk in a mug and froth up with a frother or a small whisk/fork

  8. When porridge is super creamy, top with

  9. Dollop of coconut yoghurt @coyo_uk

  10. Frothed mylk

  11. Nuts (pecans said ‘autumn’ to me today)

  12. Stewed apples and blackberries

  13. Raisins

  14. Almond butter @yumellofoods

  15. Flaxseed or other seeds

  16. Granola for some CRUNCH ( recommend @bioandmeuk for 11/10 crunch factor)

  17. Sprinkle of cinnamon

  18. Dash of maple
