Muhammara Sweet Potato Crackers
Ingredients
- - 3 sweet potatoes that are quite long and not too think (or more, depending on how many crackers you want)
- - 3 tsp of olive oil
- - 1 tray of Maza Muhammara
- - salt and pepper to taste
- - cress
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 180°C / 350°F
Cut your sweet potatoes into small rounds that are about 5mm thick
Mix them in a bowl together with the olive oil, salt and pepper
You could add other spices if you want at this point
Spread them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and roast them for 1 hour, flipping them at 30min
Keep an eye on them at 50 minutes, because every oven is different and you don't want them to burn
Let them cool completely before you add the muhammara and cress
I highly recommend using the muhammara, as the sweet flavours of the bell pepper and pomegranate work great with the sweet potato
I wouldn't wait too long with eating those, as the sweet potato does tend to get soft after you spread them with your toppings (they're still good though)
Enjoy and don't forget to tag me in a picture when you make this
