Baked Brownie Porridge Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of oats
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1/3 cup almond butter
  • 2 medium mashed bananas
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste (or extract)
  • 3/4 cup plant milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (coconut oil if vegan)
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste (or extract)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a 8x8 baking tin with baking paper

  2. Mix all the wet ingredients in a bowl then stir in the ground almonds, oats & cocoa powder

  3. Transfer the mix into the prepared tin and bake for 30 mins

  4. Allow to cool in the tin for at least 15 mins before removing

  5. Slice and enjoy hot or cold
