Burnt Sugar Chai Spice Chia Custards
Ingredients
- 2 chai tea bags
- 6 t whole chia seeds (i used @salbachia)
- 1/2 cup medjool dates
- 1 t vanilla extract, paste, or powder
- Cinnamon
- Raw or coconut sugar
Preparation
Warm coconut milk until almost boiling
Add chia tea bags and steep 5-10 minutes and remove
Add remaining ingredients to blender and blend on high speed for one minute, or until very smooth and creamy
Pour into 4 little custard or tart dishes
Let set at least 1 hour
Sprinkle with raw unrefined or coconut sugar and cinnamon
Turn oven to broil
Place custard or tart dishes on baking pan and broil for a few minutes until sugar on top is just starts to burn
Remove
Cool
