Matcha Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 c flax milk
  • 1 tblsp lion custard powder
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 5 tblsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tblsp butter
  • 5 crescents, cut into pieces
  • Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. Take 3 Tblsp of the flax milk and add in custard powder in bowl. Get out all the lumps

  3. Repeat with matcha powder in the same way

  4. Add rest of milk into a saucepan and add in custard and matcha mixtures

  5. Add sugar and butter and stir over medium heat

  6. When it seems slightly thick, pour into bowl

  7. Toss in bread pieces to soak

  8. Spoon soaked bread into a ramekin

  9. Bake for about 25 min or until bread is golden brown

  10. Remove from oven and allow to cool about 5 min

  11. Garnish with powdered sugar if desired
