Green Power Lunch Plate
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mixed dal (toor and channa) soak for 2 hours in enough water
- 1/4 cup freshly grated coconut
- 2 green chillies
- 1 red chilli
- 1 inch ginger
- Salt
- Grind the above to a coarse mixture without water (not a paste) and set aside
- 2 cups washed and chopped methi leaves fenugreek leaves
Preparation
Mix the ground mixture with methi leaves and steam it on a tray for 15-20 minutes. And let it cool
Make a tadka with
Oil, Mustard, asafoetida, curry leaves, 1 red chilli, 1 teaspoon urad dal . Add the steamed and cooled mixture to the tadka and sauté. This will be a free dry palya. Serve hot with a generous squeeze of lemon
