Green Power Lunch Plate

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mixed dal (toor and channa) soak for 2 hours in enough water
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated coconut
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Salt
  • Grind the above to a coarse mixture without water (not a paste) and set aside
  • 2 cups washed and chopped methi leaves fenugreek leaves

Preparation

  1. Mix the ground mixture with methi leaves and steam it on a tray for 15-20 minutes. And let it cool

  2. Make a tadka with

  3. Oil, Mustard, asafoetida, curry leaves, 1 red chilli, 1 teaspoon urad dal . Add the steamed and cooled mixture to the tadka and sauté. This will be a free dry palya. Serve hot with a generous squeeze of lemon
