Simple, Budget Friendly and Delicious Meal for Dinner Tonight, a Fave Dish of Mine, Lentil Dahl

Ingredients

  • To make this dahl I chopped up half an onion
  • two cloves of garlic
  • a teaspoon of ginger
  • chucked it in the pan for about 5 minutes to cook then I added a cup of red lentils with a can of coconut milk
  • and 1 1/2 cups of water! Stirred around then added my fave spices/flavours like tumeric
  • cumin
  • curry powder
  • pinch of chilli
  • salt and pepper. On a medium heat i kept stirring often until the lentils soak up the water and at a preferred consistency

Preparation

  1. I served it up with some rice, spinach and cherry tomatoes
