Simple, Budget Friendly and Delicious Meal for Dinner Tonight, a Fave Dish of Mine, Lentil Dahl
Ingredients
- To make this dahl I chopped up half an onion
- two cloves of garlic
- a teaspoon of ginger
- chucked it in the pan for about 5 minutes to cook then I added a cup of red lentils with a can of coconut milk
- and 1 1/2 cups of water! Stirred around then added my fave spices/flavours like tumeric
- cumin
- curry powder
- pinch of chilli
- salt and pepper. On a medium heat i kept stirring often until the lentils soak up the water and at a preferred consistency
Preparation
I served it up with some rice, spinach and cherry tomatoes
