Fried Chickpea Tofu Sticks
Ingredients
- garlic powder
- poultry seasoning
- onion powder
- kala namak
- curry powder
- tofu sticks
- sriracha
- piri piri sauce
- barbecue sauce and sweet chilli sauce
- oil
Preparation
Make the chickpea/Burmese tofu mixture (recipe coming soon to LickYourPlates.com)
Step 2: Pour it into a rectangular baking tin or mould quickly. Smooth out the top, leave to cool completely then transfer to the oven to set
Step 3: Slice the tofu then cut each slice into sticks
Step 4: Heat up a few inches of oil
Step 5: place each stick in the oil and cook till firm and golden brown on all sides, turning over if necessary
Step 5: Pour sauces on a plate in an artistic way (if you can be bothered)
Step 6: Place your fried tofu sticks in the plate
Step 7: Pick a fried tofu stick, dip it in some, or all, of the sauces and take a bite out of it
