Fried Chickpea Tofu Sticks

Ingredients

  • garlic powder
  • poultry seasoning
  • onion powder
  • kala namak
  • curry powder
  • tofu sticks
  • sriracha
  • piri piri sauce
  • barbecue sauce and sweet chilli sauce
  • oil

Preparation

  1. Make the chickpea/Burmese tofu mixture (recipe coming soon to LickYourPlates.com)

  2. Pour it into a rectangular baking tin or mould quickly. Smooth out the top, leave to cool completely then transfer to the oven to set

  3. Slice the tofu then cut each slice into sticks

  4. Heat up a few inches of oil

  5. Place each stick in the oil and cook till firm and golden brown on all sides, turning over if necessary

  6. Pour sauces on a plate in an artistic way (if you can be bothered)

  7. Place your fried tofu sticks in the plate

  8. Pick a fried tofu stick, dip it in some, or all, of the sauces and take a bite out of it
