Fried Chickpea Tofu Sticks

Ingredients

  • garlic powder
  • poultry seasoning
  • onion powder
  • kala namak
  • curry powder
  • tofu sticks
  • sriracha
  • piri piri sauce
  • barbecue sauce and sweet chilli sauce
  • oil

Preparation

  1. Make the chickpea/Burmese tofu mixture (recipe coming soon to LickYourPlates.com)

  2. Step 2: Pour it into a rectangular baking tin or mould quickly. Smooth out the top, leave to cool completely then transfer to the oven to set

  3. Step 3: Slice the tofu then cut each slice into sticks

  4. Step 4: Heat up a few inches of oil

  5. Step 5: place each stick in the oil and cook till firm and golden brown on all sides, turning over if necessary

  6. Step 5: Pour sauces on a plate in an artistic way (if you can be bothered)

  7. Step 6: Place your fried tofu sticks in the plate

  8. Step 7: Pick a fried tofu stick, dip it in some, or all, of the sauces and take a bite out of it
