Strawberry Pudding Pastry Pieces

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cube yeast
  • 60 g sugar
  • 80 g butter
  • 225 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Pudding filling

  • 100 g quark
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 25 g sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 200 g strawberries

Preparation

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it activate

  2. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and lemon zest in a bowl

  3. Add activated yeast mixture, egg, and softened butter to the dry ingredients

  4. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size

  5. For the filling, combine quark, sour cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, vanilla pudding powder, and egg yolk until smooth

  6. Prepare strawberries by washing and slicing them

  7. Roll out the risen dough and spread the pudding filling over it

  8. Add sliced strawberries on top and cut the dough into pieces

  9. Let the pieces rise again for about 30 minutes

  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown and cooked through
