Pesto Vs Creamy Cashew Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup cashews soaked⠀⠀
- 1 tbsp mustard⠀⠀
- juice of 1/2 lemon⠀⠀
- 2 cloves garlic⠀⠀
- 1 tbsp olive oil⠀⠀
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast⠀⠀
- salt & pepper⠀⠀
- with pasta, salads or however you like.⠀⠀
- for the pesto:⠀⠀
- 1 bunch basil⠀⠀
- handful baby spinach⠀⠀
- 2 cloves garlic⠀⠀
- 1/4 cup olive oil⠀⠀
- juice of 1/2 lemon⠀⠀
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast⠀⠀
- 1/4 cup pine nuts⠀⠀
Preparation
Combine in a blender and mix until smooth, you can add more olive oil if needed. Perfect with cooked pasta⠀⠀
You can store both of these in a container in the fridge for about a week but mine never last more than a day or two⠀⠀
