Spiced Apple and Pear Porridge
Ingredients
- 100g rolled or porridge oats
- 500ml almond milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1 apple, grated
- 1 pear, peeled and chopped into small pieces
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Preparation
Put the grated apple, chopped pear, allspice and cinnamon into a pan on a low heat stirring for 30 seconds to release the aromas
Add the milk and oats to the pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes stirring occasionally
Remove from the hob, add the maple syrup and stir through
Serve warm with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top
