Homemade Oatmilk with Organic Rolled Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of organic rolled oats
  • 6 1/2 cups of cold filtered water (1/2 cup less for thicker milk)
  • 1 pinch of Himalayan salt

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a large clean bowl and soak overnight covered with a cloth.

  2. Use a blender or stick blender to blend the ingredients thoroughly for about 2 minutes.

  3. Strain the milk through a fine sieve or muslin cloth into a bowl.

  4. Store in a clean glass jar in the fridge. It will keep for several days.

Enhancements

  1. Add cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, or date syrup to sweeten it, or enjoy plain.
