Raw Vegan Energy Dessert Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 cup dates
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1 pinch of Himalayan salt or unrefined sea salt
Preparation
Soak walnuts in water for at least 2 hours and let dry (in dehydrator or just on counter top) - WHY? Easier to digest!
Soak dates in water for 5 minutes to soften then drain.
Place drained dates and all remaining ingredients into a food processor and pulse until mixture turns into the consistency of unrefined sea salt.
Form balls, press mixture into a small ice cream scooper then roll in between your palms to form evenly sized bites. Continue until mixture is gone.
Chill for 30 minutes or more before enjoying.
