Raw Vegan Taco Meat Substitute

Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts (soaked overnight and drained)
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • pinch of cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon (or more) garlic powder to taste
  • 1 tablespoon organic soy sauce - tamari (gluten free) or nama shoyu
  • 4 scallions (or chives)

Preparation

  1. Pulse the nuts in a food processor until chunky.

  2. Pour ground nuts into a mixing bowl.

  3. Add the spices and mix until thoroughly combined.

  4. Pour in tamari or nama shoyu and scallions and mix together.
