Vegan Cheesy Gluten-Free Bowtie Crackers

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups Banza bowtie pasta

Seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp aquafaba (or avocado oil)
  • 3 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

  1. Bring water to a boil then add in the rest of the ingredients. Cook the pasta for 4 minutes. Drain but don't rinse.

  2. Mix the dry seasonings together well. Toss the cooked pasta with the aquafaba then with half the seasoning. Toss a few times then add in the rest.

Air fryer method

  1. Airfry in the basket for 8 minutes at 390°F. Mix and toss. Cook for an additional 6 minutes. Let cool. They will crisp up as they cool.

Oven method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Spread cooked and seasoned pasta on parchment paper and bake for 8 minutes. Flip and toss and bake for 8 minutes more. Remove from oven and let cool before munching.
