Focaccia with Caramelized Onions, Tomato and Rosemary
Ingredients
- 1 package dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 large onion
- 1 tomato
- rosemary, basil
Preparation
Dissolve yeast in warm water with honey and let it sit until foamy
Mix in flour, salt, and olive oil to form a dough; knead until smooth
Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size
Caramelize sliced onions in a pan with some oil until golden
Press the dough into a baking pan, dimple the surface, and add caramelized onions, sliced tomato, rosemary, and basil
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown and cooked through
