Focaccia with Caramelized Onions, Tomato and Rosemary

Ingredients

  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tomato
  • rosemary, basil

Preparation

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with honey and let it sit until foamy

  2. Mix in flour, salt, and olive oil to form a dough; knead until smooth

  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size

  4. Caramelize sliced onions in a pan with some oil until golden

  5. Press the dough into a baking pan, dimple the surface, and add caramelized onions, sliced tomato, rosemary, and basil

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown and cooked through
