Homemade Pizza with Custom Toppings
Ingredients
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 2 cups pizza flour or all-purpose flour
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Toppings
- olives
- capers
- cherry tomatoes
- garlic
- arugula
- vegan mozzarella
- fresh basil
Preparation
Combine water, yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil in a large bowl. Add flour bit by bit until dough comes together. Knead for 5-6 minutes with a mixer or 6-8 minutes by hand until smooth and springs back when poked. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 30-45 minutes until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 430F/220C. Cut dough into two or three pieces and roll out.
Top the pizza base with marinara sauce and choice of toppings. Bake for 10-15 minutes until edges are browned and base is crispy.
Slice and serve.
