Homemade Pizza with Custom Toppings

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 cups pizza flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Toppings

  • olives
  • capers
  • cherry tomatoes
  • garlic
  • arugula
  • vegan mozzarella
  • fresh basil

Preparation

  1. Combine water, yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil in a large bowl. Add flour bit by bit until dough comes together. Knead for 5-6 minutes with a mixer or 6-8 minutes by hand until smooth and springs back when poked. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 30-45 minutes until doubled in size.

  2. Preheat oven to 430F/220C. Cut dough into two or three pieces and roll out.

  3. Top the pizza base with marinara sauce and choice of toppings. Bake for 10-15 minutes until edges are browned and base is crispy.

  4. Slice and serve.
