Chickpea Soup with Crumbed Tofu and Chilli Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu cut lengthwise
  • 2 cups of wholemeal bread brumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of parsley
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 1/4 cups of water
  • 3 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds
  • sunflower oil for shallow frying
  • 6 teaspoon of sweet chilli sauce
  • 6 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • 6 teaspoons of tamari sauce
  • 6 teaspoon of balsamic sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. In a bowl add the flour, paprika, 2 teaspoons of salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of parsley, 2 garlic cloves , water and combine well

  2. Set aside

  3. In another bowl add the bread crumb, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of parsley and combine

  4. Set aside

  5. Place tofu it in the prepared batter then dip in bread crumb mixture

  6. Repeat the process

  7. Shallow fry and place the tofu on absorbent paper

  8. Prepare your dipping sauce

  9. In a jar place sweet chilli sauce, maple syrup, tamari sauce, balsamic glaze, sesame seeds and combine
