Crispy Cauliflower with a Sweet Scallion Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 1/2 tbsp warm water
  • 2 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp chopped scallions or spring onions
  • here’s what you’ll need for the cauliflower:
  • oil for frying
  • batter:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup water
  • breading:
  • 2 cups japanese breadcrumbs or breadcrumbs of choice

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, place the brown sugar

  2. Add in the warm water and stir until the sugar particles have dissolved

  3. Add in the soy sauce and chopped scallions/onions

  4. Mix well then enjoy as a dipping sauce
