Overnight Buckwheat Groats Breakfast Dish
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds (for milk, blended with water or use nut/seed milk alternative)
- 1 cup water (or 1 cup nut/seed milk)
- 1/4 cup raw buckwheat groats
- 4-6 teaspoons chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 teaspoon organic maple syrup (optional)
Preparation
Buckwheat is a fruit seed, excellent for those sensitive to wheat or gluten-containing grains, and helps with blood sugar control and hunger satisfaction.
Place all ingredients in a container with a lid, such as a pyrex glass container.
Allow the mixture to sit overnight.
In the morning, blend the mixture until desired consistency is achieved.
Pour the blended mixture into a bowl.
Add fresh fruit or nuts as optional toppings, such as bananas, apples, berries, hemp seeds, or additional maple syrup for sweetness.
