Overnight Buckwheat Groats Breakfast Dish

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds (for milk, blended with water or use nut/seed milk alternative)
  • 1 cup water (or 1 cup nut/seed milk)
  • 1/4 cup raw buckwheat groats
  • 4-6 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon organic maple syrup (optional)

Preparation

  1. Buckwheat is a fruit seed, excellent for those sensitive to wheat or gluten-containing grains, and helps with blood sugar control and hunger satisfaction.

  2. Place all ingredients in a container with a lid, such as a pyrex glass container.

  3. Allow the mixture to sit overnight.

  4. In the morning, blend the mixture until desired consistency is achieved.

  5. Pour the blended mixture into a bowl.

  6. Add fresh fruit or nuts as optional toppings, such as bananas, apples, berries, hemp seeds, or additional maple syrup for sweetness.

  7. Enjoy your meal!
