Avocado and Mushroom Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chili flakes to taste
  • Herbs of choice
  • 1 avocado
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Toasted bread for serving

Preparation

  1. In a skillet, heat 2 teaspoons of oil and add 2 cups of sliced mushrooms

  2. Add in 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce, then cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes, or until mushrooms are caramelized

  3. Season with black pepper, chili flakes, and herbs of your choice

  4. Meanwhile, mash an avocado in a bowl and season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste

  5. Serve with toasted bread and enjoy
