Clean Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of spelt flour
  • 1/2 cup of cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup of coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 2 chia eggs
  • 3/4 cup of dark chocolate buttons (organic times)
  • 3/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 2 tsp of vanilla essence 1 cup of coconut milk

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, add in all the ingredients starting from most dry to wet. Mix it all together for a few minutes making sure it’s all mixed through

  2. Mixture should be a little thicker than pancake mixture. Not too runny

  3. In a baking pan oil with coconut oil or add baking paper and put in the oven starting on low heat, 160 for 20 minutes bump it up to 180-200 for 10-15 minutes until ready. Should have a brownie like texture

  4. For icing / sauce, in a bowl mix 1/4 cup coconut sugar, 1/4 cup cacao powder, dash of maple syrup and a dash or two of coconut milk, whip it together and pour it over the cake/slice

  5. Enjoy 5-6 slices alone and hide the rest of your family members
