Homemade Pickles

Ingredients

  • 3 persian cucumbers
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • fresh dill
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 4 cloves of garlic smashed
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp whole black pepper corn
  • 1/2 tsp whole mustard seeds

Preparation

  1. Chop up cucumbers & onion

  2. Pack cucumbers + onion slices + fresh dill into mason jar, leave 1/2 inch space on top for liquid

  3. In a small pot heat vinegar + water + salt + sugar + garlic & spices

  4. Simmer until salt and sugar dissolves

  5. Cool the brine until warm & fill the jar until everything is covered w/ the brine

  6. Close lid tightly & refrigerate for 24 hours & enjoy!!
