Simple Sticky BBQ Jackfruit Vegan Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 tin of jackfruit in water
  • 1 small white onion
  • 4 heaped tbsp of sticky bbq sauce
  • olive oil

Preparation

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over a medium-high heat and cook the chopped onions until they start to brown.

  2. Add the jackfruit and the bbq sauce, reduce the heat, and allow to cook for 8-10 minutes, moving the ingredients around the pan; the jackfruit will start to soften.

  3. Remove from the heat and enjoy. Serve with sweet potato rice, avocado, coriander, and top with seeds and nuts, as jackfruit is not a source of protein.
