Apple Cinnamon Nut Rolls

Ingredients

  • 17g fresh yeast
  • 50g vegan margarine
  • 50g cane sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • 50ml warm oat milk
  • 300g flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Mix the warm (not over 40°C!) plant milk with the yeast, stir and let it rest for 2 min

  2. Mix flour and salt and add the yeast mixture and margarine

  3. Knead to a dough

  4. Let it rest for 30-60 min (in a warm place, not over 40°C)

  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) upper and lower heat

  6. Knead the dough again (~5 min) and roll it out

  7. Spread ~4 tbsp coconut sugar, 1tsp cinnamon and optional: 4 tbsp crushed hazelnuts on top

  8. Cut an apple into small pieces and put them on the dough as well

  9. Roll up, cut and brush with date syrup for a golden color

  10. Bake them for ~20 min
