Chamomile Ginger Turmeric Latte
Ingredients
- 1 chamomile tea bag
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 teaspoons honey (sub maple syrup or 6-8 drops stevia, or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon grassfed butter (sub coconut oil)
- Scant pinch black pepper
- Scant pinch red pepper flakes
- 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon arrowroot starch (optional)
Preparation
Add 1/2 cup water and almond milk to a small saucepan.
Add tea bag to a large heat-proof mug or glass mason jar and add the boiling mixture.
Steep for 5-10 minutes (longer for stronger chamomile flavor), then discard tea bag.
Add the steeped tea and all remaining ingredients to a blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
If not warm enough, return to saucepan, bring to a simmer, and serve.
