Macadamia Nut Mylk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw macadamias
  • 3-4 cups filtered water (use less water for thicker, creamier mylk)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder for "chocolate milk"
  • 1/4 cup fresh berries for "berry milk"

Preparation

  1. Soak the macadamias in filtered water, with a pinch of sea salt added to it, for 1-2 hours (ensure there's about a couple of inches of water above the nuts, as they tend to swell)

  2. Drain the nuts then pour into a high powered blender with the filtered water and any optional ingredients you'll be including, then blend away until well combined, and the milk starts to look thick, creamy, and a little foamy on top

  3. Strain out the milk
