Roasted Salsa Roja

Ingredients

  • 5 small/medium tomatoes
  • 1/2 white onion
  • 3 arbol chili peppers
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Roast your tomatoes, onion and chili peppers on a griddle (or comal as I call it) for 10 minutes or until they look like these ☝?

  2. Add all your ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes and serve with chips or your favorite Mexican dish
