Fresh Homemade Salsa with Tomatoes and Basil
Ingredients
- 2 heirloom tomatoes or Roma tomatoes
- 1/4 cup red onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 6-7 basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper
Preparation
Dice the tomatoes into small pieces.
Dice the red onion into small pieces (about 1/4 cup).
Dice the garlic cloves into small pieces.
Chop the basil leaves finely.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl: diced tomatoes, diced onion, diced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Mix everything well.
Store in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Serve with chips, tacos, burritos, or nachos.
