Tandoori Garlic Naan

Ingredients

  • all purpose flour- 4 cups
  • salt - 1tsp
  • yeast - 2 tsp
  • maple syrup 1tsp luke warm
  • water - 1 1/4 cup
  • olive oil - 1tsp
  • garnishing
  • garlic - 5 chopped in tiny pieces
  • corriander leaves - 1/2 cup chopped
  • butter / olive oil, round pan or wok

Preparation

  1. In a cup add water , maple syrup, olive oil & Yeast . Keep it aside until it rises

  2. Take stand mixer or use your hands, add Flour in your stand mixer & slowly start adding your risen water into the four mix and knead

  3. Dont pour your water all at once

  4. Once dough comes together, bring it on to the flat surface and knead it again until it becomes soft and smooth

  5. It might take atleast 5 to 6 minutes

  6. Apply light oil to the dough and cover it with a damp cloth and set aside about 2 to 3 hours in a warm place

  7. After 3 hours dough should have risen and now punch the dough to make it soft and pliable

  8. Divide the dough into 10 to 12 portions

  9. Roll the naan one at a time on a surface with your desired shape

  10. Sprinkle few chopped garlic , coriander leaves on top and press gently with the rolling pin making sure they stick firmly into the dough

  11. Heat the Tawa / wok on medium heat and check if Pan is ready by sprinkling some water on Pan , if it sizzles its ready for the naan
