Crispy Air-Fried Tofu with Savory Sauce
Ingredients
- Tofu
- Corn starch
- Nutritional yeast
- Himalayan salt
- Garlic powder
Sauce
- Oil
- Garlic, minced
- Ginger, minced
- Vegetable broth (about 1 cup)
- Soy sauce (1-2 tablespoons)
- Ketchup (1-2 tablespoons)
- Maple syrup (1-2 tablespoons)
Preparation
Press tofu for a few minutes and cut into cubes.
Toss the tofu cubes in a bowl with corn starch, nutritional yeast, Himalayan salt, and garlic powder.
Air fry the tofu at 400°F for 10 minutes, then shake and fry for another 5-10 minutes.
While the tofu is frying, heat oil in a skillet.
Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and heat for 2 minutes.
Add vegetable broth, soy sauce, ketchup, and maple syrup to the skillet, stir, and allow to simmer to thicken.
Once the tofu is finished, add it to the sauce.
Turn off the heat and fold the tofu into the sauce to coat.
Pair with veggies and grains and enjoy.
