Split Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups green split peas
  • 2 medium russet potatoes, diced
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into slices
  • 2 ribs celery, cut into slices
  • 1 medium Spanish onion
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp herbs de Provence (optional)
  • 4 cups vegetable broth

Preparation

  1. I placed all my ingredients in my instapot and cooked on manual for 15 mins

  2. Stir after pressure cooker depressurizes to break vegetables apart

  3. The resulting product was thick, but that is how my husband likes it

  4. For more soup like texture instead of Stew, add 3-4 cups additional water to recipe
