Vitamin C Bomb Smoothie Cubes
Ingredients
- 1 large orange, peeled
- 1 small grapefruit, peeled
- 1 mango
- 1 lemon, peeled
- 1 cup cauliflower florets
- 1/2 pineapple
- 1/2 tsp xanthum gum
- 4 cups water (for juice variation)
Preparation
Put the pineapple and mango into your blender first.
Add the orange, grapefruit, and lemon slices.
Top with cauliflower florets since it is the driest.
Puree until smooth.
Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray.
Cover with plastic wrap and freeze overnight.
You can leave the cubes in the tray or pop them out onto a baggie for freezing.
Use two cubes in your smoothie for an added kick of fiber and vitamin C.
For the juice variation, mix the remaining mixture with 4 cups of water and blend.
If making the juice, add 1/2 tsp xanthum gum to keep the fiber from separating, or shake before use.
Tips
Xanthum gum is optional and only needed if preparing the juice to prevent separation.
A high-powered blender like Blendtec is recommended for best results with these fruits.
