What A Whoppa Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2kg Gafoor minced mutton backstrap fillet
  • 2 diced onions
  • 1/2 bunch of coriander chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp dried fenugreek
  • 1.5 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1.5 tbsp salt

Burger sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • finely diced gherkins
  • 1 tsp chilli pickle/sauce

To serve

  • cheese slices
  • brioche buns
  • baby gem lettuce leaves
  • sliced red onion
  • sliced tomatoes

Preparation

  1. Combine all patty ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly

  2. Form the mixture into patties of desired size

  3. Cook the patties on a grill, pan, or oven until fully cooked and juicy

  4. Mix together all burger sauce ingredients in a separate bowl

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a bun, adding cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, and sauce, then topping with the other bun half
