Easy Baked Broccoli Cheese Soufflé
Ingredients
- garlic
- red onions
- olive oil
- 2 tbsp flour of choice
- milk
- 1-2 bay leaves
- nutmeg
- salt
- pepper
- broccoli
- cheese
- 3-4 eggs
- tomatoes
Preparation
Preheat oven to 220C.
Sauté garlic and red onions in olive oil. Add 2 tablespoons flour and mix well into the oil. Reduce heat, slowly add milk to dilute the flour-oil paste. Add 1-2 bay leaves, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. White sauce is done.
Add raw broccoli and cheese to the white sauce, then lay the mixture onto an oven dish.
Break 3-4 eggs and whisk. Season if desired. Add over the top of the broccoli mixture. Let cook in the oven for at least 15 minutes.
Top with more grated cheese (such as cheddar). Add tomatoes for garnish and drizzle with olive oil. Turn on the grill for a few minutes to brown and crisp the cheese.
Note: This dish was mainly for kids but is enjoyable for everyone.
