Homemade Cold Brew Coffee

Ingredients

  • 20 g coarsely ground organic coffee
  • 1 litre filtered water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Preparation

  1. Place coffee in large glass jar and add water. Stir well to combine and add cinnamon and vanilla. Stir again

  2. Set aside in cool place away from sunlight for 12-24 hours to infuse. Stir every 4-6 hours (the longer you leave it, the stronger it gets)

  3. Strain out the coffee through a nut milk bag and discard coffee granules (tip: they're absolutely wonderful for your garden! Place coffee grounds in your compost for a nitrogen-plus-other-nutrient-rich fetiliser)

  5. Drink right away or keep in fridge for up to 5 days. I
