Coconut Bliss Balls


  • 2 cups of medjool dates
  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • For the chocolate coconut coating
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • desiccated coconut (enough to coat - 1/2 cup)


  1. Blend the almonds until a fine meal forms, add the medjool dates (pitting these before adding), maple syrup, cacao powder & coconut oil and blend until a sticky mixture forms

  2. Using your hands roll the mixture into equal balls and place on a baking tray. Chill in the fridge whilst making the chocolate coconut coating

  3. Simply melt the coconut oil, with the maple syrup and cacao powder over a low heat (don't let it boil) and keep stirring until it's completely melted and mixed

  4. Place the desiccated coconut in a small bowl. Remove the balls from the fridge and dip them into the chocolate coating one by one until completely covered, roll into the desiccated coconut and return them to the baking tray. Finally, place into the freezer for around 30 minutes to firm up. Store in the fridge, enjoy
