Delicious Rainbow Cookies with Chocolate Chips and M&M's

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, soft
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup M&M’s + more for the tops of the cookies

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius & line 2 large baking trays with baking paper & set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, cream your butter & both sugars together until whipped & well combined.

  3. Mix in eggs & vanilla.

  4. Add in the flour and baking soda & mix well.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips & M&M’s.

  6. Use a large cookie scoop & scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake 8-10 minutes or until the tops are just barely golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven & immediately place additional M&M’s into the tops of the cookies, pressing lightly to make sure they get a bit melty.

  9. Allow to cool another 2-5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to continue to cool to room temperature. ENJOY!
