Ingredients: 3/4 cup of softened butter; 1 cup of sugar; 1 flax egg; 1 tsp of vanilla extract; 2 1/2 cups of flour; 1/2 tsp of baking powder; 2 tbs of beet juice

Ingredients

3/4 cup of softened butter
1 cup of sugar
1 flax egg
1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 tsp of baking powder
2 tbs of beet juice

Preparation

Whisk together butter and sugar into a large bowl
Whisk in flax egg followed by vanilla extract
Add flour and baking powder and knead until dough has formed
Divide and add beet juice to one half and knead until dough is tinted pink
Place dough in fridge for one hour
Once dough is ready preheat oven to 350° f
Roll both dough balls out and with a small heart cookie cutter cut hearts into dough in rows
Exchange hearts into the other dough sheets
With a larger heart cookie cutter cut hearts
Separate leftover dough and reapeat process
Bake in oven for 7 minutes
Once time is up serve and enjoy!
