Salty Caramelized Almond Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups raw almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, warmed
  • 3 tablespoons plant milk, warmed
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (optional)

Preparation

  1. Pour almonds into your food processor.

  2. Process until they go from coarsely chopped to finely ground, which should take about 15 minutes, but it depends on your food processor. Stop and scrape down the sides when needed.

  3. After 15 minutes add in maple syrup, cinnamon, maple syrup, salt and plant milk and blend until the butter is smooth. Take into account that it thickens in the fridge, so add more almond milk if necessary.
