Easy Three-Layer Magic Cake

Ingredients

  • 125 g butter
  • 500 ml milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 120 g all-purpose flour

For preparation

  • powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C (convection 140°C).

  2. Grease a loaf pan (30 cm long) well.

  3. Melt the butter.

  4. Warm the milk in a separate pot until lukewarm.

  5. Separate the eggs.

  6. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and set aside.

  7. Mix the egg yolks, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, melted butter, 1 tablespoon water, and flour.

  8. Add the milk and mix briefly.

  9. Gently fold in the egg whites, leaving some small lumps of egg whites.

  10. Pour the batter into the loaf pan (make sure the pan doesn't leak).

  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes.

  12. Cover the cake during the last 10 minutes to prevent over-browning.

  13. Let cool completely before removing from the pan.

  14. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
