Non-Scary Halloween Apple Tarts
Ingredients
For Dough
- Plain flour - 2 cups
- Olive oil - 1/4 cup
- Pinch of salt
- Water - 3/4 cup or as needed
- Brown sugar powdered - 3 tbsp
For Filling
- Apple - 3 cups (Thinly sliced Apples)
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut sugar - 1/4 cup
Preparation
In a large bowl, add apple, lemon juice, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, coconut sugar, and mix well. Leave it covered while you prepare the dough.
Place the flour, salt, olive oil, and sugar in a bowl. Mix everything together with enough water to make a pastry dough.
Keep the dough in the fridge for half an hour. Then, divide it into 8 to 10 equal balls.
Shape each ball into a ball and roll it out into small round shapes. Press the pastry into the tin and leave the excess overhangings if desired.
Fill the tarts with the prepared filling and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.
While the tarts are baking, roll out the remaining dough and create different Halloween shapes using a cookie cutter.
Bake these Halloween-shaped pastries for 10 minutes. Brush them with soy milk before putting them in the oven.
Once done, let the tarts cool on the baking tray.
Arrange the Halloween-shaped pastries on top of the tarts.
Serve the tarts with maple syrup, nuts, and your favorite ice cream. Enjoy!
