Vegan Twisters
Ingredients
- 1 tinned pears
- 1 tinned strawberry
- 1 tinned pineapple
- 2 small limes
- vegan vanilla icecream
- 75g caster sugar
- green food dye
Preparation
Drain strawberries and pears keeping back some of the juice of each.
For lime mix, blend pears+2 tbsp juice, 50g sugar, lime juice and green food dye together until you reach acquired colour. I added roughly half cap full.
For strawberry mix, blend strawberries+2tbsp juice and 25g sugar
Open tinned pineapple, remove 1-2 segments and blend until smooth.
For the centre fill IKEA water bottle ice cube tray half way with strawberry mix and freeze until solid
Pour the lime mixture halfway into the moulds and insert wooden sticks. Freeze.
Once frozen cut the strawberry centres and place in mould and fill up remainder with lime mixture. Freeze.
Take 100g icecream and stir in 3-4tbsp pineapple mixture.
Place icecream mix into piping bag and freeze for 10-15mins.
Take out freezer and run under warm water for 5 seconds. Gently start piping the icecream mixture around the twister lolly’s. (Your hands will freeze. I wrapped the bag with kitchen roll to help with this)
