Breakfast Naan with Avocado, Chilli Oil Fried Egg, Crispy Fried Onion, and Green Chutney

Ingredients

  • Naan bread (4 large or 8 mini ones)
  • Avocado
  • Chilli oil fried egg (4 eggs)
  • Crispy fried onion (1 red onion, sliced and panfried until crispy)
  • Green chutney

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix together 300gms self-rising flour, 150-200gms Greek yogurt, 1 tsp nigella seeds (of choice), and a pinch of salt.

  2. Knead the dough for a few minutes, adding a bit more yogurt or water if needed.

  3. Let the dough rest for a couple of hours or use it right away.

  4. Dry fry the naan on medium heat for a couple of minutes on each side.

  5. Serve with lots of butter.

  6. Slice the ripe avocados.

  7. Prepare the green chutney (refer to previous posts for the recipe).

  8. Cook the eggs in chilli oil (skip the chilli oil for kids).

  9. Layer the avocado, chilli oil fried egg, and crispy fried onion inside the homemade naan.
