Vegan White Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 cup almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1/2 a teaspoon arrowroot flour
  • Sweetener as needed (I used rice malt syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender
  • 2 tablespoon organic cocoa butter

Preparation

  1. Add milk, arrowroot, lavender and bring this to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the lavender is infused

  2. Whisk in the cocoa butter and sweetener vigorously using a wired whisk and turn off the heat

  3. Strain and serve

  4. Whisking is very important to incorporate the butteryness into the drink. You may experience a thin layer floating on top but I won't mind that

  5. You can use lesser lavender if you want it milder as it can be easily overpowering

  6. You can replace the arrowroot powder with cashew paste or cashew butter to thicken and enrich the drink
