Vegan Banana Nice Cream with Spirulina
Ingredients
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1/8 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tsp raw fresh spirulina @spiraveg
Topping
- vegan salted caramel sauce
Preparation
Place the frozen banana in a food processor and pulse a few times to start breaking it down.
Once it’s fairly well broken down, slowly start blending, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Add the vanilla extract and continue blending until it forms a smooth, creamy, soft-serve ice cream-like texture. Depending on your food processor, you may need a little splash of dairy-free milk, but for best results, try to use just the banana.
Place in the freezer for 30-60 minutes for a firmer nice cream.
Once ready to eat, remove from the freezer and create a marble effect with the raw fresh spirulina.
Serve in a waffle cone with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce on top.
