Cherry Galette
Ingredients
- 12 cups pitted cherries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 grated apple with skin on
- 4 tablespoon arrowroot starch
Preparation
In a saucepan over medium heat, add cherries and bring to a boil
Cook 5 mins then add granulated sugar, apple and cook 10 minutes more
Add the arrowroot starch with 1 tbspn cold water to form a paste
Add this to cherries, sugar and apple
Bring to a low boil and cook for 10 minutes
Pour into sterilized jam jars and seal
