Homemade Cherry Jam with Fresh Fruit
Ingredients
- 12 cups pitted cherries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 grated apple with skin on
- 4 tablespoons arrowroot starch
Preparation
In a saucepan over medium heat, add cherries and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes.
Then add granulated sugar, apple, and cook for 10 minutes more.
Mix arrowroot starch with 1 tablespoon cold water to form a paste.
Add the paste to the cherry mixture.
Bring to a low boil and cook for 10 minutes.
Pour into sterilized jam jars and seal.
